The ninth game in the series includes a number of significant tweaks and additions, given even gamers familiar with the previous eight games something new to look forward to. First of all, the AI has been spending some time on the practice field. Players will notice the computer players are much more intelligent this time around and will provide much more of a challenge. Defensive players will block and move more smoothly and smartly, and the offensive players will take advantage of any opening. Fortunately, the controls have been tweaked a bit, also, making the gamer’s life easier. While many of the commands are similar to WORLD SOCCER WINNING ELEVEN 8, a few changes have been made. The most significant is that gamers can now sidestep with the touch of a button, making it easier to avoid blockers. As all of the WORLD SOCCER WINNING ELEVEN games do, the ninth entry in the series includes many registered soccer clubs and well-known players. The game also includes a number of different game play modes and extras, which, of course, must be unlocked before they can be accessed. All in all, soccer gamers who enjoy the series will find this addition contains everything they love about WORLD SOCCER WINNING ELEVEN games with some new updates and tweaks that add to the game
