Capcom brings VIEWTIFUL JOE to the Nintendo DS with VIEWTIFUL JOE: DOUBLE TROUBLE. The game makes full use of the DS touch screen to solve puzzles while including all the trademark JOE comedy, fun, and hilarious one-liners. Once again, Joe must set out to defeat evil while moving through a number of different movie sets. The game takes place in Movieland, a theme-park where Captain Blue is shooting his latest film. However, the evil Madow soon appear and s***** away the completed film. Joe’s sister Jasmine is determined to get the film back, and Joe tags along to protect her. The six Movieland levels follow Joe as he battles enemies, solves puzzles, and tracks down the Madow while protecting Jasmine. In addition to Joe’s punches and kicks, he has access to his VFX powers. The VFX abilities let Joe slow down time to dodge missiles or attack enemies with a super-powered punch. He also has three new powers, scratch, split, and slide, that require players to use the touch screen to activate. Scratch, for example, requires players to move their finger across the screen to create an earthquake. The main focus of Double Trouble, however, isn’t the fights but the puzzles. Gamers will have to use Joe’s powers and their own minds to overcome the many obstacles the game throws at them. In the end, these fun puzzles and the DS controls make VIEWTIFUL JOE: DOUBLE TROUBLE a fun Joe experience for all ages.
