STREET FIGHTER, a staple of the video game Fighting genre, is a classic martial arts fight-fest that has KO-ed competitors and imitators since its debut 15 years ago. In celebration of this anniversary, Capcom has released a special collection containing HYPER STREET FIGHTER II and STREET FIGHTER III: 3rd Strike. In HYPER STREET FIGHTER II, Capcom melded the series of five STREET FIGHTER II games into one. The game contains all of the characters, costumes, and moves from STREET FIGHTER II, STREET FIGHTER II CHAMPION EDITION, STREET FIGHTER II HYPER FIGHTING, STREET FIGHTER II: The New Challengers, and SUPER STREET FIGHTER II TURBO. Players can mix and match all the serie's characters and their variations, creating a huge cast of playable characters. STREET FIGHTER II: 3rd Strike features 19 new and returning characters, including Chun Li, Makoto, and the mysterious Q. Moves have been upgraded as well: players have the option of choosing one of three Super Arts Moves for each character, parrying, and executing Leap Attacks. Both games contain three modes: arcade mode, a single-player tournament where players battle to claim the title of ultimate street fighter; verses mode, a one-on-one fight against another player; and training mode, a place to practice difficult combos and moves.
