Nintendo DS gamers loved the unique gameplay in Sega’s FEEL THE MAGIC XY/XX, and now they can continue using the touch screen, microphone, and other unique DS features in its sequel, RUB RABBITS. RUB RABBITS is a dating sim game, a genre that is wildly popular in Japan. Players create a male character and a female character and, over the course of the game, make the two fall in love. Players control the male character as he tries to win a number of mini-games to claim the woman’s heart. The mini-games are very diverse in RUB RABBITS, and all focus on using the DS’s unique stylus and microphone control. In the first one, for example, players have to tap the stylus rapidly to make the male run up an escalator. Others included playing the piano, beating off parachuting potential boyfriends by breathing into the microphone to blow them away, and shooting the woman with cupid’s arrows. Once players have played a mini-game in story mode, it becomes available for multiplayer play. Two gamers can play using one DS, four can play with gameshare, and up to 20 can join together if they have multiple copies of the game. In addition to the single-player mini-games, other multiplayer games are available, including air hockey and hot potato. Gamers who loved the unique gameplay and controls of FEEL THE MAGIC XY/XX will love RUB RABBITS. Its humor, off-the-wall mini-games, and sheer fun will have players relentlessly pursuing their lady love for hours.
