From Ubisoft comes the caveman adventure TORK: Prehistoric Punk, an XBox platform game where players assume the role of the caveman Tork. Tork’s village has been destroyed and his father kidnapped by an evil necromancer, leaving Tork with no choice but to chase the necromancer and his minions across time in hopes to saving his father. Levels stretch from prehistoric times to the future, pitting Tork against everything from dinosaurs to robots while traveling through avalanches, active volcanoes, medieval castles, and high-tech factories. While Tork’s main weapon is his bolo, he also has the power to transform into a powerful creature once his rage meter, filled by hitting enemies, is full. The time period Tork is in determines his form, anything from a yeti, an armadillo, to a flying squirrel. These rage forms offer Tork stronger attacks and special abilities, while his human form has both a close-up and a ranged attack. For gamers who miss the prehistoric platform games like JOE AND MAC, TORK: Prehistoric Punk is the game to fill that particular niche. Gamers who enjoy other platforms and adventure games should pick up TORK as well and join the caveman on his time-traveling expedition.
